Car of the year 2021

Ai-ways U5 is entered in the Danish Car of the year 2021 contest. Testing started yesterday. I wonder if they have a new 2021 model there, see this picture?

After today, 7 candidates will be nominated for the final.

Sorry for writing in English, I read and understand german, but my writing is terrible.

I have followed this forum for a year and even tried to buy an U5 from germany, but the 3000 euro discount is only for german customers. Now it looks like I can soon buy it in Denmark 🙂

Danke für die Info! Interessant wäre, ob das wirklich schon das 2021er Modell ist. Im Text sind u.a. die Beschleunigungswerte von 0-100 km/h in 7,5 sek des 2021er Modells genannt. Das Fahrzeug hat auch ein dänisches Nummernschild, was auf eine Neuzulassung schließen lässt. 🙂

I agree, if it was one of the german test cars, then they would have just left the german license plate on it.

I am very excited to see the list of cars for the final, it is announced this afternoon.

Wäre Klasse wenn du uns das Ergebnis hier mitteilen würdest. Interessant wäre es auch wenn es ein Video (auch auf dänisch) gibt 🙂

No final for Aiways U5 🙁

The 7 cars for the final are: BMW 4-serie, Honda E, Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur, Seat Leon, Toyota Yaris and VW ID.3

I have not found any reviews or comments about the U5, almost like the journalists did not find it worth mentioning.

Now I look forward to hearing the news about 2021 model from Deutschland.

Da sind wohl nur die bekannten Firmen ins Finale gekommen, darunter auch zwei E-Autos - und das ist auch gut so 🙂
