Unable to charge with DC
Zitat von pdimanov am 13. Januar 2024, 13:20 UhrHi everyone.
I'm sorry for writing in English but this was the only forum I found for Aiways.
I bought a second hand Aiways U5 which was shipped in Bulgaria. The car is able to charge by using AC but it won't start charging with DC.
I tried different public EV charging suppliers with different kWh outputs, ranging from 30 to 150 but everytime when I initialize a charge the car won't start charging. The applications will return an error message and stop the charging. As soon as I find a public AC charger, the charging starts without a problem.
Has anyone had similar problems with their car? Could it be a software problem or a hardware one?
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Zitat von CNGoderkWh am 13. Januar 2024, 22:27 UhrHello,
in this thread another user (JKone) reported about the same issue (AC-charging fine, no DC-charging at some point of time).
Send him a questioning message how the result of exchanging the charge plug turned out in his case.
Good luck.
Kind regards
Oliver

I read the entire article. Looks like the charge plug can sometimes get faulty. Let's hope this will be the problem.
Meanwhile the car will soon be checked in an EV-specific workshop. When the issue is sorted out I will get back with the solution.
